Singapore, 9th July 2025 – The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and RAQS Quantum are thrilled to announce the launch of a pioneering Quantum AI Course, designed to equip professionals with cutting-edge skills at the intersection of quantum computing and artificial intelligence. This collaboration marks a significant step in addressing the growing demand for expertise in quantum technologies, with plans to introduce additional courses to foster innovation in this transformative field.

Singapore University of Technology and Design and RAQS Quantum Launch “Quantum Computing: Transforming Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Industry for the Future” - A SkillsFuture Series Course.

The Quantum AI Course combines SUTD’s academic excellence in technology and design with RAQS’s industry-leading expertise in quantum and AI solutions. The course will provide participants with practical knowledge of quantum inspired algorithms, quantum algorithms, AI integration, and real-world applications, preparing them to lead in industries such as finance, marine, oil and gas, logistics, healthcare, and others. With quantum computing poised to revolutionize computational capabilities, this initiative aligns with Singapore’s National Quantum Strategy, which has committed nearly S$300 million to advance quantum research and industry partnerships.

SUTD, known for its mission to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders through a design-centric, interdisciplinary education, sees this partnership as a natural extension of its commitment to societal impact. RAQS, a Singapore-based firm specializing in quantum computing and AI, brings its mission to accelerate digital transformation and deliver quantum, AI-driven applications to the collaboration. Together, the organizations aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a skilled workforce ready to harness quantum technologies.

The course, set to begin in August 2025, is also eligible for SkillsFuture funding. It will feature hands-on training, case studies, and access to quantum computing platforms, ensuring participants gain both theoretical and practical expertise. Looking ahead, SUTD and RAQS plan to expand their portfolio with advanced courses in quantum courses for specific industries, quantum machine learning, and hybrid computing solutions, addressing the evolving needs of a quantum-driven future.

Prof. Dario Poletti, Associate Professor and Head of Cluster (Science, Mathematics and Technology), Lead Trainer:“ As a trainer, I’m excited to guide participants through the transformative potential of quantum computing and AI. This course offers a unique opportunity to explore how these technologies can solve complex problems, from optimizing supply chains to advancing drug discovery. This is a forward-thinking initiative which will shape the future of Singapore’s workforce.”

Mr. Raghunath Koduvayur, CEO, RAQS Quantum: “RAQS is committed to empowering businesses with quantum and AI solutions that redefine possibilities. Collaborating with SUTD to launch this certification course aligns perfectly with our mission to drive digital transformation. We are excited about the future, as we plan to develop more courses to build a quantum-ready workforce for Singapore and beyond.”
